Does anyone know if there is any "safer" spray paint that kids can use that doesn't have fumes?

I wish I knew of a good non-toxic spray paint, but here's a transparent alternative:
You can put liquid watercolors in an empty pump spray bottle (like a plant mister) to give you a dotted sort of spray look.
